JASPER GARVIDA COLLECTIONS

Jasper has been regular in the London Fashion Week schedule. This stunning Agate graphic print dress is one of the anticipated dresses in his catwalk shows. This is made of 100% cashmere wool and leather and is surely perfect for winter as its materials give warmth. This may appeal less into feminine styling, but many like this because of its curved and triangular panels which will feature the ladies’ womanly curves.

Another flirty feminine design offered by Jasper in his collections is this item featured in his show entitled “Road to Royalty” held at Wolf and Badger, Notting Hill, last March 19. These surely offered flawless solution for girls last summer in their wardrobe woes.
Also, added to Jaspers collections is this bridal gown that will certainly capture all brides-to-be who interest in gorgeous, classic, and elegant designs. He also offers couture wedding dresses for those who want their own designs. This will also be made by Jasper himself.

SOMEONE TO BE PROUD OFF

I am not familiar with some Filipino fashion designers so I searched for some. They are many who fulfil their dreams in styles but there are truly few who brings full of pride in the country.

Jasper Garvida and Rafé Totengco are among these few fashion engineers who caught my attention. They established an affluent trend of fashion that spread in various countries around the globe. These are people that we shall be proud off.

Jasper grew up in Canada and studied Fashion Design at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design. His label, of course named after him, The Jasper Garvida appeared in Vogue Italia, Russian Vogue, ELLE, i-D, and Drapers and Grazia. His designs has been seen on Katy Perry, Elizabeth Hurley, Cheryl Cole, Sophie Ellis Bexter and Jaime Winstone and appeared in red carpets of high profile events such as the Oscars and the Golden Globes the Brit Awards.

Rafé is also a Filipino fashion designer based in New York. Unlike Jasper, Rafé grew-up in the Philippines particularly in Bacolod City. Following his passion as seen in him when he was still in elementary tailoring and modifying clothes including his school uniform, Rafé went to New York and studied at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology). He enrolled in an evening school because he worked as a design assistant in the morning. In 2000, he started Rafé Studio Ltd. and distributed his collections and products at department stores and boutiques worldwide as well as in online shopping sites. Rafé collections now include women’s handbags, shoes, and small leather goods, as well as men’s bags and accessories.

BLACK is GREY

Fashion alone is boring. Black would be bright if paired with something vibrant.

eFIORUCCI is from an Italian fashion label founded by Elio Fiorucci. This blog is stirred by how Elio introduced a very unusual trend of style especially how he popularized camouflage and leopard-skin prints and designer stretch jeans. He, aside from offering a new approach in fashion, he also introduced an unexpected trend by mixing clothing with beauty products, vintage items, music and home furnishing.

eFIORUCCI would like to offer other performances that could anchor to fashion aside from its artistic presentations to make it more vivacious. This would somehow be a good chance for me to avoid being trying hard in some point.

FASHION SHOCK

I do not know where to start. What post would be proper to my blog’s theme? Yes, this is a blog. Yes, this is mine. But, no, I did not choose FASHION – it is my f*****g fate. This is a requirement and I don’t have choice. To Mr. Ritchie Azagra, thank you.J

After having the theme through draw lots, is a nerve-wracking brain writing of what to do next. What is fashion anyway? The only answer that came to my mind was the big word… R E S E A R C H

Internet is the reason of this ‘problem’ and should solve my difficulty. First tab opened was for fashion brands for my blog’s title. Second tab was for the top fashion sites for posts. And other various links of tabs followed.

After days of surfing the net and after getting accustomed to somehow a very unfamiliar culture of fashion, here comes how an alien would live in an entirely new blogging environment. CLICK, READ, AND LEAVE A COMMENT!J
